In Memoriam

Simba was a gentle, loving cat who never harmed anyone. He was skin and bones when I rescued him over 10 years ago. When we were feeding him .....along with the other cats we were trying to rescue........ he was shy with the other cats and they would hit him when feeding time came. He would cower and stand back. He never returned their hits. When he came into our home, was very frightened, but soon learned that he was loved. He returned that love many times over. He battled kidney disease for over a year and he passed away early March 31st. I loved him very much and will miss him's like a part of sunshine has left my soul. Libby

Romeo, a bright yellow kitten, was rescued many years ago after being found with a huge open wound on his back. He endured painful treatment for many weeks and always purred and loved his caregiver. He had a huge scar for the rest of his life. He knew no strangers and trusted everyone. The first time another cat hissed at him, he pulled his face back and just looked at if to say ," What is that?" and then continued to try to rub faces with the cat. At the vet's office he rubbed up against the cages of the huge Rottweilers without any fear or concern. His name reflected the love he expressed to everyone who came in contact with him. After 16 years and battling kidney failure, he is gone..... leaving a hole in our hearts. He is not forgotten....his memory will live on in our hearts..... I can still picture his tail carried in the shape of a question mark as he walked down the hallway.....He taught everyone the meaning of "unconditional love." Libby
